Wolf Line crews spend their days working around heavy equipment, vehicles, aerial lines, and active jobsites—environments where the unexpected can happen in an instant. Staying safe means more than just wearing the right PPE and following jobsite procedures. It also means being ready to act when it matters most.

At Wolf Line Construction, safety comes first — and recently, our team put that commitment into practice during High Voltage Electrical Safety Training, held onsite in partnership with TPC Training.

This summer, we took time to thank the people who make Wolf Line Construction what it is: our crews. We hosted two appreciation barbeques in late June in Ohio and Michigan, bringing together our team, clients, and community partners for great food and conversation.

This spring, the Wolf Line team attended several leading industry conferences focused on data centers, power infrastructure, and connectivity. These events provided valuable opportunities to strengthen industry relationships, stay current on evolving technologies, and highlight the services Wolf Line offers in support of critical infrastructure projects across the country.

Wolf Line Construction is proud to be named a 2026 Michigan Works! Impact Award Honoree by Northwest Michigan Works! The award recognizes our commitment to workforce development and building strong career pathways in the utility industry.

In late March, Wolf Line Construction sponsored and attended the Arizona Lineman's Rodeo at Trico Electric Cooperative in Marana, Arizona—and yes, it was a hot one. Barb Harmon, our Director of Human Capital, and Jim McAdams, Vice President of Business Development, made the trip out to host a Wolf Line table and spend the day connecting with apprentices, crews, and industry partners.

Colin Garner, Wolf Line Construction CEO, recently joined the "Route to Success" podcast hosted by Sara Orellana—an exploration of leadership, strategy, and collaboration with people driving change in their communities. Garner discussed his career and why rural broadband infrastructure is more than a technical project—it connects communities and drives opportunity.

Eight Wolf Line Construction employees recently completed an intensive three-week fiber optic training program at Southeast Lineman Training Center (SLTC), earning certification in Advanced Fiber Splicing 3.

Our Annual Safety Meeting is a cornerstone of the Wolf Line calendar—and this year was no exception. Bringing together field employees from across our operations, the day focused on what matters most: working safely, looking out for one another, and returning home to our families at the end of every shift.

In November, fourteen Wolf Line Construction employees stepped away from their jobsites for a three-day Leadership Development Resource training focused on Proactive Performance Coaching. The goal: to sharpen communication, build leadership confidence, and learn effective coaching techniques that will help their crews succeed.

Members of Wolf Line Construction’s office team recently volunteered at the Lowcountry Food Bank in North Charleston, South Carolina, spending the afternoon packing hundreds of pounds of fresh apples for families across the Lowcountry.

In late September, members of Wolf Line’s Safety Department attended the annual Lineman’s Safety Rodeo at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois. Hosted by the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives (AIEC) and sponsored in part by Wolf Line, this yearly event is a great opportunity to see linemen from across the region—and have some fun in the process—so we saddled up and hit the road.

Recently, our HR team hit the road to visit two renowned lineman training centers and connect with the next generation of linemen to share what makes Wolf Line such a great place to launch a career.

Wolf Line Construction was proud to sponsor the Networking Breakfast at the 2025 NRECA Broadband Leadership Summit, held June 4–6 in Washington, D.C. The annual event brought together nearly 170 broadband leaders, electric co-op representatives, and policymakers to explore strategies for expanding rural connectivity.

Wolf Line Construction was proud to recognize our 135 linemen for their service to their trade during Line Appreciation Day on April 18th. 

On Friday, October 25th, MichiganWorks! Association, Michigan state’s primary workforce development association, held a graduation ceremony in Cadillac, MI.  More than 15 employers from across the state graduated over 40 apprentices in fields from medicine to criminal justice, roofing- and of course, fiber optic line construction!

Wolf Line Construction is proud to help support The Village of Barnesville and The Barnesville Memorial Park with its annual Fourth of July fireworks display. 

As part of our continued tradition of supporting local communities where we work, Wolf Line Construction fielded two men’s softball teams to compete in the Men’s Wildcard Tournament run by local business Pine Squirrel.
